Three independent schools in Brisbane conducted a trial of over 360 students across 13 classes. They compared the academic results of pupils who had plants in their classrooms with those who had no plants. In two of the three schools they noticed that the students studying in the classrooms with plants out-performed the other students by between 10 and 14%. Educationalists regard any improvement of 10% or more as significant.
